Conveniently located within a quarter-mile block from the 16th & R Street Sacramento Regional Transit Light Rail Station, Sakura is an affordable 134-unit mixed-use, transit-oriented development in the heart of Sacramento on the southwest corner of 16th and T Streets. Sakura’s name, meaning “cherry blossom,” pays homage to the deep Japanese community roots in the neighborhood.
This project design features a central courtyard with a dining area, shade structure, dog run and barbecue area. The total outdoor area is approximately 4,200 SF. The building will also feature a 1,045 SF multipurpose room and offices, as well as 2,499 SF of ground-floor commercial space. Sixty-seven secured long-term bicycle parking spaces will be located on the first floor of the building and there will be short-term bicycle parking along both 16th and T Streets to accommodate visitors to the apartments and the commercial spaces. The site includes 19 surface level parking spaces, 17 of which will be covered by carport structures.
